Job Description: Credit Control Supervisor

Responsible to: Finance Director/Site Manager

Co-ordinated by: Finance Director

Key Interfaces: Finance Director, Site Manager, Company Accountant, Cash Book Clerk, Receptionists.





Role



The role of a Credit Control Supervisor is to ensure that the Sales Ledger funds are collected promptly as directed by the targets set by the Finance Director. This role is part-Head Office based and part site-based, therefore the candidate must be mobile. You will be responsible for 4 members of staff.





Responsibilities / Accountabilities



• Cash Collection / Ledger Maintenance

i. To collect funds promptly in accordance with the targets set.

ii. To deal with specific old debt.

iii. To ensure that all periodic reporting as requested by Management is produced promptly and accurately.

iv. To highlight to the Financial Director any anomalies you come across on the ledger in the fulfilment of your duties.





• Paper trail / Invoicing

i. To ensure that the Advance and Exchequer systems are updated for new work providers.

ii. To communicate and record daily receipts for target purposes.





• Use the Best Practice in all processes, particularly:

i. Work Provider Liaison.

ii. Inter site personnel liaison.

iii. Personal presentation.

iv. Liaison with fellow team members within the finance function in a professional manner and in promotion of a Team Building Ethos.





• Additional Duties

i. Answer all telephone queries promptly and efficiently.

ii. Assist Cash Book Clerk with cash allocation and resolution of queries.

iii. To assist with cover on other functions within the Finance Department as directed by your Manager or Finance Director.

iv. To liaise with Work Providers in a courteous and professional manner in fulfilment of your duties.

v. To liaise promptly and courteously with Site personnel, when requesting or delivering information requirements.

vi. To promote the Professionalism and Ethos at all times.

vii. To organise and maintain a tidy work station.
